The woman who died while running from police in Utah has been identified

LAYTON, Utah – The Utah Highway Patrol has identified a woman who was ejected from a vehicle that crashed in Davis County on Sunday, September 29th.

Police said 25-year-old Emma Gordhamer of Holladay, Utah, was speeding while fleeing officers and crashed. According to the UHP, she had been the subject of a “location attempt.”

The pursuit began in Salt Lake County and ended in Davis County when Gorghamer took the Antelope Drive exit in Layton and crashed.

According to DPS, the vehicle Gordhamer was driving overturned after exiting the highway.

When their vehicle, a Dodge Caravan, crashed, both occupants were ejected, according to police.

Gordhamer was the driver and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other occupant, a three-year-old child, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
