Arrest in Volcano Multi-Vehicle Accident | News, sports, jobs

VULCAN — A driver was arrested Friday following a multi-vehicle crash with injuries on US 2 in Norway Township, according to the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department.

The accident was reported near the BP Vulcan gas station around 4:45 p.m. The occupants of the vehicles were taken to Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson for treatment of their injuries, according to a sheriff’s department news release. No information was given as to how many people or vehicles were involved.

The arrested driver is awaiting arraignment on a charge of driving while intoxicated, the release said. The accident remains under investigation.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Norway Police Department, Integrity Care EMS, North Alert EMS, Norway Fire Department, Joe’s Wrecker Service and Norway Auto Body.
