Man Attacked with Machete in Pune: Police Detail Two

A man in Pune, Maharashtra, was seriously injured following an alleged machete attack by two individuals, one of whom is a minor, police stated.

The violent incident occurred on Wednesday morning in the Kirkatwadi area on Sinhagad Road. The accused have since been detained by the Pune police’s Crime Branch.

Identified as Sagar Chavhan, the victim was attacked around 7 am while traveling on Sinhagad Road. He sustained multiple machete wounds and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital. A video capturing the attack has gone viral on social media.

According to police preliminary findings, the assault appears to be the result of an old enemy. The suspects were arrested within a few hours of the incident. A case has been registered at the Haveli police station.
