Two children found dead, woman under guard in hospital – Australian Associated Press

The bodies of two children were found in a house in NSW, while a woman was taken to hospital under police guard.

Shortly before 1pm on Tuesday, officers were called to the house in Faulconbridge in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney.

When they arrived, they discovered the bodies of two boys, aged nine and eleven, who had been found by a family member.

A crime scene has been secured and the police are investigating.

A 42-year-old woman was taken to Westmead Hospital under police guard. Her condition is stable.

There was no ongoing threat to the community and police were not searching for anyone else.

Local authorities are investigating the deaths with the assistance of the homicide squad.
