Man resisted arrest after Westfield Rail Trail users reported indecent exposure

WESTFIELD – Police arrested a man for exposing himself to at least two people on the Columbia Greenway Rail Trail on the afternoon of Sept. 20, according to court records.

David L. Gagne, 59, of Shaker Road, Westfield, was charged with lewd, wanton and lascivious conduct, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for the incident, according to court records.

According to the statement of facts filed by one of the arresting officers, on Saturday, September 20, a person called 911 at 4:17 p.m. to report a man, who police later identified as Gagne, touching his genitals on the Columbia Greenway Rail touched trail that runs from the Southwick city limits to downtown Westfield.
