Chisholm Police Respond to Dispute with Armed Suspect

On Saturday evening around 8:33 p.m., Chisholm Police responded to a report of a possible shooting at 410 Central Ave S. Officers found that a standoff had occurred involving armed suspects.

The victim said two people forced their way into the victim’s apartment, had a gun and a kitchen knife in hand, and demanded that the victim hand over prescription medication.

A fight broke out. Witnesses reported hearing at least two shots. The victim suffered minor injuries and was immediately given medical treatment on site. He did not need to be taken to hospital.

Chisholm Police are currently investigating the incident and are following up on all leads to arrest the suspects involved. No arrests have been made at this time.

Chisholm police believe this was an isolated incident and there is no immediate danger to the public.
