The Santa Rosa Police Department’s second social media campaign to search for missing people began last week

The Santa Rosa Police Department’s second social media campaign of the year to search for missing people entered its final week with another call for community help.

The latest “Missing Person Monday” post on Facebook and Instagram follows similar posts over the past six weeks in which the department shares photos and the last known whereabouts of people it considers missing in hopes that community members will provide information about where these people are now.

The department’s previous campaign, developed and led by intern Erica Meyer, covered 30 missing people over a six-week period between January and March and ended with the location of five people, including one who had been missing since 2005, the department said announced in April.

Authorities hope that publishing weekly posts about a few missing people instead of a long list will attract more public attention. So far, thanks to Meyer’s diligent detective work in collaboration with the FBI, police have been able to locate an individual featured in the current social media campaign.

Here are the latest people featured in the department’s campaign:

Tobin McIntosh, 68, was last contacted earlier this month, police said.

Anthony Horner, 54, was reported missing by his family in February 1989 when he was 18 years old. Police shared a photo of Horner created by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, with his age adjusted to make him look 47 years old.

If you know the whereabouts of any of the individuals pictured, please contact your local law enforcement agency if you are not in Santa Rosa or at 707-528-5222 if you are in Santa Rosa. If you have information that could assist the department in these cases, please call the SRPD Violent Crimes Investigations Team hotline at 707-543-3590.

Editor’s note: We have removed two of the four people reported missing by Santa Rosa police after learning that their families believe they are deceased.
