North Carolina man charged with driving dead man’s vehicle

MCDOWELL COUNTY, NC (WSPA) – A man arrested for allegedly driving a deceased man’s car faces additional charges.

According to the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office, 48-year-old Scotty Keith Styles was first arrested on April 24 for driving the vehicle of a dead man found in Old Fort.

Deputies said Styles also faces charges of burglary, multiple counts of card theft, theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and failure to report a death.

Authorities have set a $20,500 bail for Styles.
